All you have to do is first of all learn what the 7 proven pillars of a successful business are, and then apply them, in order.

Why do you own (or want to own) a business?  Isn’t it because you want a particular LIFESTYLE?

You didn’t intend to work 18 hour days, be stressed, have little time off and be hassled with staff and customers - did you?

You want financial freedom, time to spend with the ones you love and to live your dreams and own your purpose in life.

There is a way to do this that is both successful & fun!

Isn’t it time you made some changes for the better?

After all, if you want to change things in your life, you have to understand what to change!

If you’re ready for the change, here’s the 'magic recipe' you need to follow…

Pillar 1: Mindset

I know, mindset can seem a little 'woo woo' but it's the single most important thing you need to work on to ensure your business is successful.

Let's look at the two types of mindset a person can have:

A fixed mindset is when people believe their basic qualities, their intelligence, their talents, their abilities, are just fixed traits. They have a certain amount, and that’s that. But other people have a growth mindset.

They believe that even basic talents and abilities can be developed over time through experience, mentorship, and so on. And these are the people who go for it.

They’re not always worried about how smart they are, how they’ll look, what a mistake will mean. They challenge themselves and grow.

In a growth mindset, challenges are exciting rather than threatening. So rather than thinking, oh, I’m going to reveal my weaknesses, you say, wow, here’s a chance to grow.

If you find yourself afraid of challenges, get yourself into a growth mindset and think about all of the growth potential in following this opportunity, even if it’s out of your comfort zone.

If you react to a setback defensively, wanting to hide it, wanting to make up excuses for it, you’re in a fixed mindset. And instead, ask what can I learn from this experience that can help me go forward next time?

Pillar 2: Education is Key

As an entrepreneur, it’s important to always be learning and developing - both within yourself and in your business.

Innovate or die, right?

You’ve always got to be pushing yourself forward, doing the things that scare you, and moving forward.  Think of the future and show up in every moment.

Learn new strategies, new skills and network with others.  Don’t try to do it alone - you’ll likely make yourself ill and stressed - and that’s not why you started your own business!

Pillar 3: Understand Your Customers

This is about more than just knowing your target audience or ideal client, it’s goes much deeper than that.  You must understand your customers core desires - what they really need from you to solve their problems.

When you understand this, your whole business changes.  The way you market, the products you create, the services you offer, the words you write in your emails, social media posts and website copy…

If everything you live and breathe is about solving your customers core problems, you’ll be able to connect with them in a way that other businesses can’t.

Pillar 4: Set Goals & Build a Strategy

Set goals and have a plan to achieve them.  Until you set a goal you don’t have a reason WHY you will improve your business, therefore the HOW doesn’t matter.  People have to know why, before how.

Be sure to always write your goals down - if it’s not written down with a pen and paper - it’s not REAL.  Remember, everything online is just ‘virtual’, not reality. So notes on your phone or in a computer document aren’t as REAL as something you can feel and touch!

When you have a goal it's time to look at the relevant strategies for your business.

A Business Growth Plan is simply the order of that you implement those strategies beginning with the one with the highest priority.  When you have documented goals for 3, 6, 9, 12 and 24 months with a list of strategies in order you have a Business Growth Plan that makes growing your business EASY!

Pillar 5: Implement EFFECTIVE Sales and Marketing.

If your already in business, you should be already doing some sort of sales and marketing - but how effective is it?

Here’s how you know when you got your marketing right:

  1. You won’t get so many ‘price shoppers’ as your marketing has already “sold” them on buying from you.

  2. Your marketing is so effective you have a constant stream of leads and prospective customers to sell too.

Pillar 6: Consistency

Don’t you hate it when you are promised something and it never happens?  It’s annoying right? And you level of trust goes from 100% right down to maybe 20% - if you’re lucky!

Consistency runs deep throughout your business practices and can make a real impact on how your business grows. You can have the best, most perfect strategy in the world, but if you don’t execute it consistently, it won’t do you any good.

Pillar 7: Accountability

All of these pillars to running a successful business are totally useless if you don’t have accountability.

As an entrepreneur, you’re probably starting a business on your own, and it can be overwhelming & daunting.  Having someone to keep you accountable for your tasks, actions & goals not only pushes you to achieve them, but also gives you a sounding board to discuss issues with.

Anything is possible, all you have to do is dream it and then take action on it!

“If you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time.”
